CompassAir Web SnP Guide
This guide is for users of the CompassAir (web version) SnP module.

1.3 #1 WORKFLOW – I WANT TO RESPOND TO A DIRECT PE HAVING RECEIVED A MATCHING SHIP
Brokers will be familiar with the requirements of all current direct P/Es, i.e. those enquiries from their own clients, and it is likely that these are considered in preference to market P/Es when a new Advice arrives.
Responding is quick and easy – under this workflow scenario the broker does not need to refer to the PE itself, and instead just wants to pass on the details by way of an email. A new message is composed and the ship’s details can be added by first pressing “F4”, adding the name of the ship for sale to the search box and then pressing enter. Additional narrative can then be added to the message as appropriate.
Automatically the following occurs:
1. the ship name and the matching P/E reference are added to the outgoing email both in the form of a hyperlink (for easy access to the ship in the vessel database as well as to the P/E)
2. the email is added to the “Messages” tab of the ship in the vessel database
3. the email is added to the P/E’s “Messages” tab
4. the ship is added to the “Ships” tab of the P/E to show that the ship in question has been proposed
1.3 #2 WORKFLOW – I WANT TO RESPOND IMMEDIATELY TO AN INCOMING ADVICE WITH A MATCHING SHIP
If CompassPulse Shiplink is being used a ship will automatically be associated with an incoming email and the details displayed on the email with a hyperlink to the vessels database. Where this is not the case, the recipient can click on the ship icon and add the ship name manually (which will also attach the same hyperlink to the email as when CompassPulse is used).
Having clicked on the hyperlink the ship details will be shown on screen (also accessible indirectly and more slowly from the Ships icon on the left menu bar then searching for the vessel).
Clicking on the “Matching PE” tab will reveal all current PEs that match the incoming vessel.
